Sweetmans Hall dates from 1520/40 and is a good example of a smoke bay house from the mid sixteenth century. The framing upstairs and downstairs is intact and the house contains many original features, including carpenters marks, shutter grooves and wide boards. Later extensions include a kitchen block and an Arts & Crafts addition.
