Patch is a new neighbourhood space for work, culture, and community in the centre of Twickenham.
Its home at 42 York Street is a local landmark, easily recognisable by its art deco clock tower and facade with motifs of light bulbs and the founders of electricity: Watt, Ohm, and Faraday. Built in the 1930s, it was originally home to the South Eastern Electricity Board, which helped power the south of England with electricity. Since the 1980s, it has been owned by Richmond Council and in 2023 was transformed into Patch - a new neighbourhood space for the Twickenham community to work, discover, and meet.
The space now combines publicly accessible community and event spaces, including a cafe, a flexible events studio, a podcast studio, and the Library of Things (a lending library for objects), alongside coworking studios and offices supporting local entrepreneurs and startups to ‘Work Near Home’ and spend more time with friends, family, and their community.
Patch is a certified B Corp and committed to being a force for local good.
Our specialty coffee house, Django's, will serve a selection of artisanal coffees, teas and drinks, alongside a menu of freshly made toasties, wraps, omelettes and sweet treats.

Engage in thought-provoking discussions, Q&A sessions, and connect with fellow enthusiasts over lunch.
