About

Our Story

Initially the garden was conceived by Penny Evans as a community garden. In 2019 we started initial consultations with the council and only in 2022 the project started to take shape.

We are a committee of 12 members, constantly seeking for funding to continue with the works. Although we are still in the early stage of this project, we are an enthusiastic group of neighbours wiling to improve this space for the benefit of our local community.

Visitor Experience

Visitors will be able to walk around the garden, looking at the work we started. Members of the community will be talking to visitors, sharing their experiences in the making of this space and their experience in the growing of the garden.
We want to promote wild flowers and insects, and we are taking measures to protect the habitat by using scythe instead of moving the grass.

During the event, we will have a mixture of open access to the garden and guided walks, plus music , food and child friendly activities.
