Applecart Arts is a grade II listed library building, built by the philanthropist Passmore Edwards and designed by the renowned architect, Silvanus Trevail. The library was opened in 1899. For a period of time, the building was used as a registry office before sitting dormant. In 2021, the arts charity began an extensive refurbishment, opening the site to the public as a creative arts hub.
