There will be a number of interactive workshops available at Bloqs during their Open House Festival weekend. This will include a 'make your own pizza cutter' workshop.
Acclaimed performing arts collective, Chickenshed will be debuting a new musical theatre piece ‘Wooly Mammoths of Enfield’; capturing stories and historical facts from the borough alongside the new and cutting edge, this interactive theatre piece is both reflective of the past and full of praise for its new and modern industries. Think inclusive Hamilton on the river Lea, and you’ve got a starting point! Performances will take place at 11.30am and 1.30pm on Saturday 16th September at Bloqs open-air performance space. On Sunday 17th September at 12.30pm, Chickenshed will return to Bloqs to host a performing arts workshop offering fun for the whole family.
Bloqs Kitchen is headed up by acclaimed chef and author of recipe book, Aegean, Marianna Leivatidaki. Committed to the best in seasonal produce at affordable prices, Bloqs Kitchen will be providing delicious food and drinks throughout the day, including savoury and sweet snacks, hot and cold drinks plus a fully stocked bar serving craft beers, ciders, wine and more.
Tom Holbrook, Director at award-winning architecture firm, 5th Studio, will be conducting a bespoke architectural tour of Bloqs.
Bloqs' Open House weekend is also celebrating Enfield's industrial heritage. This theme will be threaded through the activities and happenings across the weekend, looking at Enfield's industrial past, present and future.
