About

History

Come and explore this newly imagined and extended public library over 4 floors. Taking inspiration from the local woodland environment, the library includes accents of oak leaves in the design, and the murals in the children's library take the visitor on an exploration into imagination. Built on the site of the original library at Glebe Way, the new building provides more space for library books and services, enlarged children's library, together with more meeting space, the innovative makerspace and cafe.
Bromley Historic Collections team will be running drop in sessions throughout the day "Meet the BHC Team" and find out more about our local area and what is available in our archives. There will be a reminiscence-style session in the afternoon where the BHC team will invite visitors to share memories about local buildings and places.
