About

History

St Luke's is a large, grade 2 star listed, late Victorian church, started in 1886, and replacing a smaller church that had been built for the hamlet of Woodside in 1870-1. There were significant restorations after fires in 1920 and 1949.

The fittings and art added over the 20th and 21st centuries, tell the story of the Church of England in this part of South London.
