John Johnson and Alfred Meeson, 1873
Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way, Wood Green, N22 7AY
We are offering people a rare glimpse of the birthplace of television with guided tours of Studios A & B. The BBC first arrived at the Palace in 1935, as the race to broadcast via the latest innovation in entertainment – television – gathered pace. The corporation leased the entire East Wing of the Palace, with former dining rooms transformed into Studios.

This tour is not suitable for those with prams/buggies, wheelchairs or walking difficulties.
Access to the Studios is via the BBC Tower and four flights of stairs. Attendees should make their way to the East Court to be signed in.
Please can attendees wear sturdy closed-toe footwear. The nature of the derelict spaces means some areas of floor are uneven.
