The University of West London draws on a heritage of over 150 years in teaching and professional education.
From the outset, the University has played, and continues to play, a significant role in the educational, cultural, and economic life of its region. Over the years, leading academic institutions, career-specific training providers, and industry specialists have come together to make us what we are today - a university dedicated to our students' careers.
Over the last 10 years, the University's buildings have been transformed, with exciting new teaching, learning and social spaces, and industry-standard facilities, including a flight simulator, radio studio, specialist laboratories and the Paul Hamlyn library. The University is also home to Pillars fine dining training restaurant.
The University of West London Archives preserves and makes accessible the records, memories and experiences of the UWL community and also includes the archive of Heathrow which is almost 100 years of aviation history.
Guided tours of our Ealing site, led by our current students, will offer the opportunity to view our facilities.
You will also be able to visit our archives display to discover a range of documents from the history of UWL and its predecessor bodies. The display will reflect the diversity of students, courses and institutions that comprise the fabric of UWL, showcasing the impressive and successful legacy students benefit from.
Tours will leave at 11am, 12pm and 1pm on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September.
