Chisenhale Art Place (CAP) was founded in 1980 when a group of artists were evicted from their studios at Butlers Wharf, and has since became a multi-disciplinary arts organisation consisting of 40 artist studios, a renowned art gallery and an artist-led dance space. On Sunday 15th September, the building will open its doors to offer an insight into the history of the building.

Built around a central green courtyard; the scheme completed for Gateway Housing Association consists of 32 shared ownership homes; including 3-bedroom maisonettes and 3-wheelchair units and features an under-5s play area. Arched entrances to individual dwellings introduce a human scale and echo other features in the street. The parapet detail is a nod to the Victorian heritage of the area.

Winner of the Environmental Leadership Prize in the 2024 Don't Move Improve Awards, House Made by Many Hands is the first building structure in the UK to specify low-carbon LC3 concrete, together with hand-cast hempcrete walls, a hardwood frame in place of traditional steel, natural materials throughout and a rigorous policy of reuse and recycling for the interior.

Refurbished extended building, a centre for film and photography. Central courtyard integrated 'hub' allows light and air to filter through. Loft conversion to create studio and work space. Sustainable features include sedum roof.

The Canal Club is the community Centre for Wellington Estate, designed in 1978 by the modernist architect Julian Sofaer. Its community gardens were opened later by the boating community moored alongside the centre.
