This tour is led by a participant of Open City’s Golden Key Academy – a course training up insightful and engaging guides dedicated to explaining London and bringing its many stories to life. It is part of a wider collection of tours created by Golden Key Academy guides for the Open House Festival celebrating their conclusion of the eight month course.

Margherita Bortolini is a participant in Open City's Golden Key Academy. She is a research manager in the biomedical field, an architecture and design enthusiast, and a Rotherhithe local.
This walking tour begins on Railway Ave, by Rotherhithe Overground station. We will explore the restored wharves of Rotherhithe Village before heading towards Russia Dock Woodlands to uncover its hidden gems. We will walk past Postmodern-style architecture in Greenland Dock and end at the Canada Dock Boardwalk, a short walk from Canada Water underground station.
Please wear comfortable footwear – part of the tour will be through a woodland which might be muddy. There will be steps and uneven surfaces. The tour will be outdoors, so prepare for the weather.
