About

Studio AVC | Crafted Environment: Merton Abbey Mills

Join Studio AVC for a short talk on William Morris and how the Arts & Crafts movement continues to inspire our designs today. Meet at Studio AVC in the historic 1929 Shop — once part of Liberty’s textile printing works and deeply connected to Morris’s legacy — to hear Ayca Vural-Cutts, founder of Studio AVC, speak about the enduring value of craft in the built environment.

Afterwards, enjoy a guided walking tour of Merton Abbey Mills, tracing its rich history along the River Wandle. Highlights include heritage buildings, restored watermills, and former artisan workshops. Discover how the principles of craft and care continue to shape thoughtful design today.
