About

Celebrating 100 Years of Ashburton Park

Join us at Ashburton Park as we celebrate a century of heritage, community, and green space. This special festival marks the park's 100th anniversary and offers a unique opportunity to explore its rich history while enjoying a day of family-friendly fun.

Visitors will be able to discover more about the park’s past, from its origins as the grounds of a grand estate, orphanage and hospital to its transformation into a public space at the heart of the local community.

There will be an opportunity to learn about the development of the park over the decades, through guided walks and opportunities to view historic photographs and maps. The day will also feature a range of activities for all ages – including creative workshops, heritage-themed games, and storytelling sessions that bring local history to life

Whether you're a local history enthusiast or simply looking for a day out with the family, we encourage you to join us in celebrating the 100 years of Ashburton Park.

Accessibility and Facilities
Ashburton Park is accessible for wheelchair users and has toilet and baby-changing facilities on site. Refreshments will be available from Ashburton Hall Café.
