As a heritage building located in the Royal Arsenal, we are excited to throw open our doors and share our venue's rich history from its origins over 300 years ago. We've welcomed King George III, housed a firework factory and a theatre, and even the Royal Artillery Band.
Always evolving, we are now a multi-faceted event space at the heart of our community with a wide variety of programming including commercial hires, workshops, live music, dance, comedy, café, resident artistic companies, fun for families, and more!
Join us as we celebrate the London Open House Festival on Sunday 20th September, with free tours and talks across our award-winning listed buildings:
- Tour the site that once manufactured ammunition and artillery pieces, has received royal visits, and now boasts a year-wide roster of cultural events, festivals, and performances.
- Attend a talk by mosaic and mural artist, and Woolwich local, Gary Drostle on his passion for his hometown and how it has shaped his work.
- Hear from leading expert Ian Bull, from Royal Arsenal History, about the site's rich past, as well as that of the surrounding Royal Arsenal area.
- Relax and enjoy our café, open air courtyard, and bar.
Our Open House Day is free for all to attend. Booking for tours and talks is recommended.
