This walking tour tells the story of how migrants and local heroes played a vital part in creating the fabric of Hornsey and Crouch End. It will explore local communities, people, places, sounds, smells, tastes, textures, and of course buildings and spaces; while telling the story of how the area went from a small cluster of buildings to the multi-cultural neighbourhood it is today.

The end point will end a 5 minute walk from Hornsey Station.
Down hill walk at start. There will be a break halfway through at Hornsey Town Hall with accessible toilets, lifts and baby changing.

Bookings will open at midday on 19 August. You won't be able to book a ticket before then.
This is a guided walking tour of Hornsey and Crouch End themed around migration and local heroes. Leo is a native north Londoner, lives locally and the tour will include some his favourite hidden spaces and places. The vibe will be friendly, social and inclusive, with a stop for lunch halfway at Dunns Bakery and an optional drink after the tour in the Queen's Public House on Broadway Parade. Please bring cash or card if you wish to purchase a snack, sandwich, baked goods or pastry for lunch or a drink in the public house after.
The route of the tour is outlined below: 1. START - Meet at Cafe Merro (85 Crouch End Hill N8 8DD) above Parkland Walk.
2. Hornsey College of Art. 3. Church Studios & The Floral Hall. 4. Hornsey Library. 5. Dunns Bakery - stop to buy lunch and eat outside Hornsey Town Hall - public toilets, accessible toilets and baby change facilities available. 6. Tour around the inside of Hornsey Town Hall. 7. Crouch End Clock Tower. 8. Broadway Parade. 9. Former Fruitex shop. 10. FINISH - Former Hornsey Police Station (98 Tottenham Lane N8 7EJ), a 5 minute walk from Hornsey Train Station. Optional post-tour soft drink / tea / beer in the Queens Public House (26 Broadway Parade N8 9DE).
