Walking Tour Details

The journey begins at Feltham Railway Station, where the Feltham Timeline Mural celebrates 175 years of the railway in the town. The mural traces Feltham’s history from 1085 to the present day, highlighting the people, businesses, landmarks and buildings that have shaped its development over the centuries.
From there, the trail leads to the England National Mural Mosaic, an extraordinary artwork comprising more than 1,300 individual tiles, each created by people with a connection to England. The tour then continues to Bridge House Pond, where visitors can explore a vibrant collection of murals and mosaics located near Freddie Mercury Close.

There will also be an opportunity to take photographs outside the Russell Finex factory, where striking murals celebrate two of Feltham’s most notable figures: Sir Mo Farah and Freddie Mercury. The route then passes through Feltham Green, showcasing the area's recent transformation through a series of community-led public art installations, including the distinctive mosaic mullein flower heads.
Along Feltham High Street, visitors will discover the unique Mosaic Tree Rings, created by more than 400 contributors, including local residents, council staff, schoolchildren and adults with disabilities. The artwork is a powerful example of inclusive, community-led creativity and local pride.

The tour concludes at the Freddie Mercury Memorial Garden and the Feltham Green Eco Cabin, officially opened by Sir Brian May and Freddie Mercury’s sister, Kashmira Bulsara. Visitors will have the opportunity to step inside this innovative community facility and learn more about its role as a hub for local activities, events and community engagement.

The visit is particularly poignant as September 2026 marks what would have been Freddie Mercury’s 80th birthday, providing a fitting opportunity to celebrate his enduring connection to Feltham and the local heritage that helped shape one of the world’s most iconic performers.
