A rare example of a once ubiquitous structure - the military hut. This one probably dates from World War 1; it was later sold off and moved to its present site, where it was in turn a Boys Brigade HQ, a book store and, from 1986, the home of the Enfield Society.

Jubilee Hall is of interest both as a survival of a military hut, and as the headquarters of The Enfield Society - essentially the Civic Society for the borough. We hope to provide information and displays both about the building and about the Society's work in trying to conserve and improve Enfield's heritage and environment.
The Society is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.
Parking around Jubilee Hall can be difficult. The Hall is about 10 minutes on foot from central Enfield (a pleasant walk along the picturesque Gentleman's Row and River View); alternatively use the 191 bus from stops CD, M or X. Central Enfield is served by Enfield Chase Station (Great Northern) and Enfield Town Station (Weaver Line). From Oakwood Station (Piccadilly Line) you can get a 121 or 307 bus to central Enfield.
There are a number of cafes and restaurants in the immediate vicinity of Jubilee Hall.
