This Grade I listed Jacobean Manor House is set in a fine estate. Built by Sir Nicholas Rainton, Lord Mayor of London 1632-33, as a family home, it is presented as a multi period House with interesting features from different centuries.

Poetry at Forty Hall

Join us for an enchanting afternoon with the Enfield Poets who will celebrate the magnificence of this historic building, gardens, trees and estate in poetry. Live poetry performances will take place in the Walled Garden and in the front of the Hall by members of Enfield Poets, who are in Residence at Forty Hall.

This event is part of Enfield Creatives’ Collection that has been co-curated with Creatives based in Enfield. The Collection provides a thought-provoking insight into Enfield's buildings through the experience of local Creatives.
