The community of St. Stephen's Hounslow Conservation Area opens private gardens in celebration of our trees. St. Stephen's Road is defined by the century-old lime trees. Yet, all of the trees within the conservation area are protected, not just those along the road. Join us to visit a variety of public and private gardens, celebrating the rich history and biodiversity of our conservation area.

Walking tour begins at St. Stephen's Church and ends at the end of St. Stephen's Road (at the junction with Hanworth Road.
As this event involves access to private gardens, visitors should anticipate steps and uneven walking surfaces. Street parking unrestricted.
Ours is a quiet residential area. Please be respectful of neighbours and noise. Limited seating will be available at the meeting point.

St. Stephen's Road is a case study in the interdependence of historical and ecological conservation. Visitors may explore the interior and the grounds of St. Stephen's Church, our landmark and namesake. After the church, visitors may visit a selection of private gardens, glimpsing behind the intact Victorian hedgerows. Residents will share their experiences in caring for their natural spaces, showcasing the rich variety of plants and wildlife that are a part of the experience of living within the St. Stephen's Road Conservation Area.
