About

Atlas House - history

Atlas House was constructed in 1836 by Thomas Hopper. The interior of the building comprises faience tiling, mahogany joinery, a mosaic floor and a staircase with iron balustrades. Following bomb damage during WWII, the building was repaired and restored in the 1950s. The distinctive clock was added in the 1960s. The building received its first listing in 1972.

Atlas House - the future

Integrity International Group, as the new long-term custodians of Atlas House, has three principle objectives for the future of this landmark building.
1. to open-up Atlas House for public benefit by providing access, supporting the community and contributing to the local economy.
2. to cherish the building and celebrate its heritage
3. to create a high-quality hotel worthy of the building, to be owned and operated by a dedicated hotel expert.
