About

Regent’s Park & Estate: Autumn Equinox Exploration

Join artist Alisa Ruzavina for an art & ecology walk exploring the diverse land of Regent's Park Estate and Regent’s Park through creative exercises, sharing of local stories, plant knowledge and folklore. The walk will include an artist tour of the Wonderscopes—playful interactive public sculptures that celebrate local relationships to seasonal rhythms.

This artist tour and walk will cover parts of Regent Park, Regent’s Place, and Regent’s Park Estate Story Trail—Euston's new public art trail commissioned and produced by Old Diorama Arts Centre. The trail is a community-initiated series of exciting new public artworks created for residents and visitors alike that proudly celebrate local people and their stories.

Alisa will also share local community stories, social histories and nature characters that have shaped the artworks.

Collectively, we will tend to the seasonal and energetic shift behind Autumn Equinox through initiating a ritual activation of one of the Wonderscopes. By changing the artwork’s seasonal wheel, we will mark the beginning of autumn, set some intentions and welcome in a new cycle.

The walk is made possible thanks to the support from Old Diorama Arts Centre.
Wonderscope sculptures are funded by British Land.
