Join local artist Emily Wood Ahmed for a mindful walking and drawing tour around the grounds of Alexandra Palace in Haringey, North London. Through gentle walking, mindful drawing and local stories, you will discover the artists of 'Ally Pally', past and present, create your own artwork, enjoy one of London’s most spectacular panoramic views, and finish at Birch Arts Gallery in Wood Green.

A linear walk beginning at the Palm Court entrance of Alexandra Palace, finishing at Birch Arts Gallery, a 2-min walk from Wood Green Tube
Gentle downhill walk with seating and toilets en route. Includes slopes and is not step-free. Blue Badge and paid parking available.
Drawing materials provided. No experience needed, just curiosity. Simple, non-judgemental drawing suitable for everyone.

A mindful walking and drawing tour exploring the artists, history, landscapes and panoramic views of Alexandra Palace.
How to book
Bookings will open at midday on 19 August. You won't be able to book a ticket before then.
This is more than a walking tour. It’s an opportunity to slow down and experience Alexandra Palace through mindfulness, creativity and observation. Along the route we will pause to sketch, notice details that are often overlooked, and hear stories about the artists, history and landscapes of Ally Pally.
No drawing experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to slow down, look closely and enjoy the creative process.
Basic drawing materials will be provided, but you’re very welcome to bring your own favourite sketchbook or drawing materials if you prefer.
Please dress for the weather, bring an umbrella if rain is forecast, and wear comfortable footwear suitable for walking outdoors.
