In 1949, American actor Sam Wanamaker came looking for Shakespeare in London and could not find much, so decided to re-build the Globe Theatre. Join Lisa who holds a MA in Shakespeare Studies from the Globe Theatre and King's College London and walk in steps of Shakespeare -- and Wanamaker nearly 400 years later.

Built in 1907, The Ragged School SE1 has been part of the community for nearly 120 years. starting off as a poor school in the worst and first borough of London, the school aimed to transform lives of the ragged children that lined the streets. The church then took over the school to form a club, pass through developers into the hands of an artist. The White room will open for creative delight.

This rarely opened space began in 1902 as Guy's Hospital Medical School Library. In 2009 part of it became the Museum of Life Sciences which houses some rare specimens and part of an historic dental teaching collection.. The building is red brick with additional stonework and is partially covered in creeper. Internally are original carved oak cabinets and ornate columns.

Acquired in 1532 and rebuilt in 1670 after the Great Fire, the Hall was partially destroyed in 1941 by enemy action and rebuilt in a Neo-Georgian style in 1960. The original charter, portraiture and stained glass are of particular interest.
