Come and enjoy a circular 2-hour walk around Westminster, Whitehall and St James’ and hear about the events of one of the most tumultuous periods in London’s history, spanning the years 1603 (the death of Elizabeth I and arrival of James I), through Civil War, Regicide, Cromwell’s Republic, the Restoration right through to 1714 and the end of the Stuart Dynasty.

A circular walk through Stuart and Cromwellian London

Come with me on a 2 hour circular walk through Westminster, Whitehall and St James’s to see some of the key sights and hear stories from the rise of James I to the throne, Civil War, Regicide, Cromwell’s Republic, through to the unexpected Restoration and “Return of the King”, through to the Glorious Revolution, ending with Queen Anne. Along the way, hear about the key players and what was happening in London at the time.
