We are a building within a building , but once inside all of our studios are step free and interconnected.

The home of choreographer and director Sir Wayne McGregor and his creative collaborations, Studio Wayne McGregor is a world-class creative arts space based at Here East in the Queen Elizabeth Park and part of the technological and creative community re-imagining the cultural landscape of east London that now includes Sadlers Wells East and the V&A.
It comprises of three extraordinary studio spaces and a series of playful environments in which to collaborate, make and create. It hosts all of the McGregor's creative work and collaborations as well as artist development and creative learning programmes.
Sir Wayne McGregor is a British choreographer and director. He is Artistic Director of Studio Wayne McGregor, a creative nexus that pushes the frontiers of physical intelligence through dance, design and technology. Wayne’s work is rooted in dance, yet encompasses a variety of genres including technology, visual art, film, opera and education.
McGregor is also Resident Choreographer at The Royal Ballet, Director of Dance for the Venice Biennale, and is regularly commissioned by and has works in the repertories of the most important ballet companies around the world including Paris Opera Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet and Australian Ballet. He has been awarded four Critics' Circle National Dance Awards, two Time Out Awards, two South Bank Show Awards, two Olivier Awards, a prix Benois de la Danse and two Golden Mask Awards. In 2011, McGregor was awarded a CBE for Services to Dance and then in 2024, His Majesty The King appointed Wayne McGregor a Knighthood in the 2024 Birthday Honours List.
Wayne McGregor is in demand as a choreographer for theatre (Old Vic, National Theatre, Royal Court, Donmar), opera (La Scala/Royal Opera, ENO), film (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Legend of Tarzan, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 1 ,2, 3 Sing, Mary Queen of Scots), and music videos (Radiohead, The Chemical Brothers). McGregor has also choreographed the critically acclaimed ABBA Voyage concert, that premiered in London in 2022.
A cornerstone programme for Studio Wayne McGregor is FreeSpace, a major artist development and creative engagement programme which supports artists to explore innovation in new directions, from an artists’ incubation and innovation community, and provide inspiring learning opportunities led by professional practising artists to thousands of participants each year.
Alongside the creative work of choreographers, Studio Wayne McGregor hosts a number of unique visual art pieces, including a work from Ben Cullen Williams on loan from his Studio, original artworks by Haroon Mirza and We Not I, and a bespoke floor based on a work by Bauhaus artist Anni Albers with kind permission from The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation. The works are installed in the unique hanging and presentation opportunities of the We Not I designed space.
