Orpington

On the borders of South-East London and Kent sits the multi-facted town of Orpington. Crofton Roman Villa is Greater London's only Roman villa open to the public where you can step back in time and explore the fascinating history of this ancient site, inhabited from around AD 140 to 400. Petts Wood was developed by Basil Scruby in the 1920/30s as a Garden Suburb, here you will discover Tudorbethan style houses and Conservation areas. The Orpington Priory and Broomhill conservation areas showcase Orpington’s architectural heritage housing Bromley borough's oldest building, The Priory, which is Grade II Listed and dates back to the 11th century, whilst Oprington town centre provides a plethora of commercial and cultural spaces. This Summer, a new mural has been erected in the town centre, by local resident and artist, to celebrate Orpington's identity and it's thriving creative scene.
