Explore the studios of the artists at historic Alice Billing House, as well as see the work produced for the Newham Heritage Month Project, “Inspector of Nuisances”. The exhibition is a collection of playful and personal responses drawing on themes teased from the Alice Billing Story; women’s health, equal rights and working conditions, using the soon-to-be-renovated North Block as a backdrop.
Sam Ikhuoria, a Newham Artist, will be exhibiting the work he produced during his artist-in-residence, which he completed in July. The work responds to the multifaceted uses of Alice Billing House over the last 60 years; from former fireman's accommodation, to a homeless shelter, to environmental health council offices, to a film set.
