Over the course of the tour, we’ll see how architects working across a range of building styles express the ideals of their bookish institutions.

A rare chance to see inside a Grade II listed brick-arched studio on Pancras Road. Now home to Brick Sixty, who design and make products in the form of the much-loved London brick. Built from 1895-1898, this pointed-arch arcade is one of the last surviving structures of the former Midland Railway Company coal depot, originally erected as offices and coal trading stores.

The church (1822 - Grade I listed) is an early and important example of Greek Revival architecture in London. Significant features include the caryatids and tower copied from the Acropolis and the atmospheric crypt.

At around 9m x 6m and 3-storeys high, the top floor originally contained a vast 70 cubic metre capacity cast iron water tank. This tank now forms an impressive viewing gallery; the exterior has ornate brickwork and elaborate detailing.
