ao-ft co-founders', Liz Tatarintseva and Zach Fluker, Spruce House and Studio is the pair’s joint home in east London’s Walthamstow. The house has won several awards including RIBA National Award, Dezeen House of the Year in Urban Category and Wood Award in Private Sector. The shell of the house is constructed using Cross Laminated Timber, was pre-fabricated off site and installed in 5 days.

Join architects Studio Weave and the Waltham Forest Culture team to go behind the scenes at the museum. The Grade II-listed building was constructed in 1730 to house the parish workhouse. After a variety of other uses it opened as Walthamstow Museum in 1931. The museum is currently closed for transformation into a fully accessible and inclusive museum, join a tour to hear about the plans.

A low-key, light-infused, beautiful transformation of a dark Victorian terrace in Walthamstow. Whittaker Parsons architecture studio has remodelled and extended the cottage, creating a bright contemporary home overlooking Ian Turkington's prairie garden. The project was shortlisted for this year's Don't Move Improve Awards.

A Grade II Listed building of special architectural and historic interest, it originated at the end of the 19th century, during which Walthamstow was transformed from a rural community to a bustling suburb of “London over the border".

The project explores what Archer + Braun are interested in; natural materials, craftsmanship and detail, calm and light filled spaces, connection to nature and sustainability.
