Experience a room-sized Camera Obscura within a terraced house located on Beck Road in East London. You will have the opportunity to have your portrait taken and purchase a photographic archival print. Groups or couples welcome!

Sessions take 10-15 minutes to experience the camera obscura through a guided demonstration, capture a portrait and photographic print(£40).

The camera obscura will be open to the public free of charge in-between photographic portrait & print sessions.

An immersive & interactive Camera Obscura, capturing & captivating community, was a pilot participatory installation for Beyond Beck Road (part III) ‘TIME’ Public Art Exhibition as part of the Open House Festival last year. @beyond.beckroad

'PINNED' PHOTOGRAPHY & PRINT HOUSE, 2025 has developed into a portrait studio offering the same immersive experience with the opportunity to acquire a print*

*(50% of the proceeds of all purchased prints will be donated to the 'Hackney Peace Carnival Mural' Event taking place in Dalston in late September).
