WilkinsonEyre's new London headquarters at Leonard Street is an example of "practising what we preach", demonstrating our belief that thoughtful design can be both environmentally responsible and inspiring. The move presented an opportunity to apply the principles we champion in our projects to our own workplace, adopting a retrofit-first, circular approach that retained and reused as much of the existing building and materials as possible.
Designed to support collaboration, creativity and wellbeing, the studio provides a flexible environment for our architects, designers and modelmakers. Throughout the space, visitors will discover how sustainable design decisions, material reuse and careful interventions have transformed an existing building into a contemporary workplace. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see our in-house model shop and a selection of architectural models on display, offering an insight into the role that physical modelmaking continues to play in the design process.
A defining feature of the studio is its strong street presence, which we call our "shop window". This publicly facing space hosts exhibitions, project displays and events that invite conversation about architecture, design and the future of our built environment, making the practice more open and accessible to the wider community.
