About

The Tour

Throughout the centuries water has always designed the urban fabric. In this tour we'll see and talk about how water was a primary element in the construction of the public space along the East Village and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Along the tour we'll be seeing different (landscape) architectural solutions, resulting in a diversity of public space designs and and water features constituting an array of interconnected waterscapes.

Guide

Your guide will be an Urban Planner that has known first-hand the kind of urban transformations like the East Village/Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, such as Barcelona's and Lisbon's water fronts.

Golden Key Academy

This tour is led by a participant of Open City’s Golden Key Academy – a course training up insightful and engaging guides dedicated to explaining London and bringing its many stories to life. It is part of a wider collection of tours created by Golden Key Academy guides for the Open House Festival celebrating their conclusion of the eight month course.
