This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Jubilee line extension. To celebrate, we've planned a treasure hunt that will allow visitors to explore and discover these stations with new eyes, looking for clues about their use and learning their history. Visitors will start at Stratford station and end at Southwark station, but learn about all 11 stations that make up the extension.

Alice Billing House is one of Newham’s most historic buildings located on Stratford’s High Street. The building is made up of two blocks, one of which is a Grade II listed building, built in 1905-6 as firefighter’s accommodation for the West Ham Fire Brigade. Opening in January 2024, the South Block has now been converted into artist studios and is now home to over 25 artists.

Grade II* listed. Built as a playhouse and entertaining audiences for over 100 years. An original Victorian auditorium with beautiful Frank Matcham interior with state-of the-art backstage and front of house facilities.

The walking tour will explore the showcase landscape and built environment of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and its surroundings. The tour will showcase unique waterscapes in the area and talk about the importance of rainwater, water and sustainable urban design; its relation to public space and how water integration can shape and design spaces.

Manbey Pod is a charming and functional garden studio located in East London, designed by Studio Bark to provide a family amenity space, storage area, and textile studio. It was self-built by the home-owners, Peter and Joan, using Studio Bark's revolutionary U-Build construction system; manufactured off-site as a kit of parts and built by Peter and Joan in their garden.

On the surface Stratford is all Olympics and Westfield: this tour unearths the area's Roman and religious origins, unusual buildings, famous manufacturing pioneers, 20th century hard times and considers (from above) the impacts of its newest quarter.
