Kupfer Project Space is dedicated to advancing contemporary art for the public benefit. Our mission is to amplify the voices of emerging and underrepresented artists, nurturing their creative practice and professional growth. About

History and Current Programme

Kupfer is housed in The Forge, a large former forge on Fish Island built in 1820. Kupfer has been resident in this space since early 2025 and runs artist's studios, residencies and a public exhibition programme from the space.
Our current programme is the exhibition 'Anamorphysical' by ascending Brazilian artist and sculptor Narcélio Grud. Visitors can expect contemporary sculpture that pushes the limits of the materials used, including kinetic and inflatable sculpture.
