This walk explores the journey from Mornington Crescent to Great Portland Street, tracing changes in housing, work, education, leisure and community. The walk starts at Mornington Crescent and finishes near Great Portland Street Underground station.
Mostly level pavements with dropped kerbs where available. The walk is approximately 90 minutes with regular stops.
An outdoor guided walk through Camden with regular stops. Suitable clothing and comfortable footwear are recommended.

This walk explores the transition between Mornington Crescent and Great Portland Street through Camden's social and architectural history. Along the route, we consider housing, education, work, leisure and social reform, and how these are reflected in the changing character of the streets. The route is currently being developed through Open City's Golden Key Academy, and some details may continue to evolve before the festival.
The Golden Key Academy is a course training up insightful and engaging guides dedicated to explaining London and bringing its many stories to life. This tour is part of a wider collection of tours created by Golden Key Academy guides for the Open House Festival celebrating their conclusion of the eight month course.
