The area post 1700 became very cosmopolitan with immigrants mainly from Europe and their influence on food and drink became increasingly important. This tour is based on food and drink, passing by restaurants, pubs, coffee bars and pâtisserie delis that have been present for decades, finishing at a relatively new site.

The area will be busy as we shall be walking around early afternoon . The distance walked is no more than 1 mile .

The tour refers historically to establishments that have been feeding the population for many decades as well as supplying drinks , evolving as necessary with the times but at the same time keeping certain traditions and history .
We also pass by 3 places which have since closed but discuss their history .
