A Church of Scotland in London, home to the longest-established Presbyterian congregation in London, worshipping in this location in Covent Garden since 1719. The current building is red brick with Portland stone dressings in a restrained, finely crafted Free Style. Three storeys, recessed slated attic, mullioned and transomed windows. Fine stained glass, most of which is by Farrar Bell.

This year marks the 52nd anniversary of when the wholesale market ceased trading and moved to the Battersea/Vauxhall area . The tour charts the evolution of Covent Garden, incorporating the piazza, the wholesale produce market, social residential areas and supporting neighbourhoods, and highlighting the social and commercial highs, lows and challenges. The area post 1700 became very cosmopolitan with immigrants mainly from Europe, and their influence on food and drink became increasingly important. This tour is based on food and drink, passing by restaurants, pubs, coffee bars, pâtisserie and delis that have been present for decades, finishing at a relatively new site.

The project is a long-term vision for the remarkable heritage area of Tin Pan Alley, including sensitive historic building repairs and a series of contemporary interventions. Located within Camden’s Denmark Street Conservation Area, the buildings span 400 years of local history and include: five Grade II and II* listed 17th Century townhouses, a mansion block and three historic warehouses.

Three centuries of Quakers in Westminster. Opened in 1883, with front doors added in the 1920s. It was bomb-damaged in 1941 and rebuilt in 1956. Grade II listed registered place of worship, it contains a peaceful meeting room and 1950s wood panelling and fittings.

Drawing Matter explores the role of drawing in architectural thought and practice. Central to our activities is the Drawing Matter Collection of many thousands of architectural and design drawings from across the world, dating from the Renaissance to the present day.

Come and look behind the scenes at our London Film School studios on Parker Street. Based above the Garden Cinema, a stone's throw from Covent Garden, the building has recently been refurbished to bespoke studios, edit suites and classrooms for the world-renowned British film school.
