This tour looks at how healthcare has had an impact on the buildings and landscapes between Westminster Abbey and the City. Exploring healthcare-related buildings, rebuilt, repurposed or removed and their influence on the landscape.

Starting at Entrance 2 of Westminster Tube Station. End is Blackfriars Station.
There will be places to sit half way through the walk at Strand Aldwych site.

Walking along the Strand and Fleet street with places to pop in and buy a drink or food on route if hungry and catch up with the group.

Health for this walk refers to physical, mental and spiritual health. From Medieval times to today. The tour will explore how as a result of political and society changes, responsibility for the provision of healthcare has shifted between, charities, the city and the state and continues to do so - affecting the built landscape we see today.
Guide: Sara Probert worked in healthcare in central London hospitals. She loves walking London streets and is excited to share her healthcare themed walk with others.
