About

Cycle Tour of Peace Gardens and Open House Properties

We will start by visiting the the Aga Khan Centre (AKC) in King's Cross for a tour where we can see a number of Islamic Gardens showcasing the diversity of Muslim cultures and celebrating classic Islamic garden design.

These gardens include contemplative courtyards and rooftop spaces inspired by gardens in the Middle East and South/Central Asia. All are founded by His Late Highness Aga Khan IV, who was the hereditary spiritual leader (Imām) of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.

We will then cycle to visit 6 Fitzroy Square, the historic headquarters of the Georgian Group, where the life and legacy of Sir John Vanbrugh is being celebrated.

We will then visit The Royal Society (which is also open for Open House), Kyoto Garden in Holland Park and The Japanese Garden of Peace in Hammersmith Park.

We will stop off for a lunch break near Holland Park.
