Join me to explore Somers Town and discover this fascinating but perhaps relatively little-known London neighbourhood. Somers Town is one of inner-London's most socially-deprived locales. It's also one with a radical history, which is proudly trying to preserve its working-class culture.
We explore how the neighbourhood is responding to the gentrification of its immediate neighbours in St Pancras and King's Cross. We'll consider also the place of nature, with both established trees and imaginative and drought-loving more recent planting. We'll explore the potential of building design and architecture to increase human happiness and improve mood and wellbeing.
