As the tour moves through the King’s Cross area, participants will explore the role of green spaces in shaping everyday urban life. Guided by a Landscape Architect, the walk examines how original design intentions are maintained, adapted, or reinterpreted over time by the people who inhabit and use these spaces. Through conversations with designers, planners, and local residents, the tour uncovers stories that reveal how public spaces are envisioned, experienced, and collectively shared.
Using storytelling as a lens, the tour traces King’s Cross as a landscape shaped by water, industry, reinvention, and visions of the future city. As one of London’s most prominent examples of large-scale urban regeneration and gentrification, King’s Cross provides a compelling setting for exploring how cities evolve, how identities are reshaped, and what these transformations might tell us about the urban future.
The walking tour will last approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Participants are advised to wear comfortable, weather-appropriate footwear suitable for extended walking and standing.
